Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 27 Agustus 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to pdfjuggler.com. These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the team behind pdfjuggler.com. By visiting the site, launching any tool, or interacting with hosted documentation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with every clause set out below.

pdfjuggler.com offers a suite of browser-based utilities for merging, splitting, compressing, converting, and organizing PDFs, together with workflow guidance in our blog and resources hub. These Terms describe how you may use those Services and what you can expect from us in return.

If you access the Services on behalf of a business, organization, or governmental body, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity and that the entity accepts full responsibility for activity conducted under your supervision. Using the Services requires compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual commitments that govern your content and workflows.

Continuing to use pdfjuggler.com after reading this notice is your affirmative acceptance of these Terms.

2. Use of Service

Eligibility and proper use. You must be at least 13 years old—or the legal age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher—to access the Services. Where local laws impose additional requirements, you must satisfy those obligations before engaging with the site or tools.

You agree to interact with the Services only in ways that are lawful, ethical, and consistent with documentation supplied in our FAQ and workflow guides. This includes honoring export controls, intellectual property rights, confidentiality agreements, and privacy laws that apply to the data you handle.

Never use the Services to:

  • Upload Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Transmit malware, ransomware, spyware, or other code intended to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
  • Bypass authentication, rate limits, source code restrictions, or security measures deployed to protect the Services.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape at scale, or build a competing product derived from proprietary elements of pdfjuggler.com without prior written consent.

If you create an optional account or save preferences, you must keep credentials confidential, maintain accurate registration information, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You remain responsible for all activity under your credentials until we confirm closure.

We may audit usage, suspend or restrict access when we detect violations, and cooperate with authorities where legally required or where public safety demands it.

3. No Warranty

No professional advice. The Services provide technical tooling and automation for PDF workflows. They are not a substitute for legal, financial, compliance, archival, or design advice. Any articles, templates, blog posts, or walkthroughs are provided for general informational purposes and may not address your specific circumstances.

As-is availability. The Services—including all outputs generated by our merge, split, OCR, or conversion features—are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We disclaim all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, and accuracy of data.

Technology limitations. Browser-based processing relies on hardware, operating systems, and network connections outside our control. You acknowledge that certain operations may require temporary uploads to our infrastructure or trusted vendors, and that software defects, third-party outages, or incompatibilities may interrupt, delay, or degrade performance. Where possible we document known constraints and mitigations in tool descriptions or support materials.

You are solely responsible for validating the suitability of any processed Content before sharing, filing, or relying on it. If you need assurances beyond those offered here, you should engage professionals or vendors capable of delivering bespoke guarantees.

4. Limitation of Liability

Limitations of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither pdfjuggler.com nor its contributors, partners, or licensors shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including without limitation lost profits, lost revenues, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us, if any, for the affected Services during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusion of liability for incidental damages, so these limitations may not fully apply to you.

Indemnification. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless pdfjuggler.com, its affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, your infringement of third-party rights, or any Content you process, download, or redistribute through the Services. We may assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification at your expense, and you agree to cooperate with that defense.

5. Changes

Updates to the Services. We continuously refine pdfjuggler.com to keep pace with evolving document standards, browser capabilities, and user feedback. Features may be added, modified, or removed without notice, and we may update system requirements, supported file types, or interface elements to maintain performance and security.

Updates to these Terms. We may amend these Terms to reflect product changes, legal developments, or clarified interpretations. When we make material updates we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and we may post a notice within the Services or send an email to registered users. The new Terms become effective immediately upon posting unless otherwise stated.

  1. Review any announced changes promptly.
  2. Decide whether the updated Terms remain acceptable for your workflows.
  3. Discontinue use if you cannot agree to the revisions.

If you continue using the Services after revised Terms take effect, you are deemed to have accepted the updated provisions. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must discontinue use and, if applicable, cancel any account or subscription features.

6. Analytics & Advertising

Privacy and transparency. We care about how your data is handled. Our Privacy Policy explains the categories of information we process, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you. This section summarizes key principles but does not replace the full policy.

Local processing first. Many tools—including merge, re-order, rotate, and sign—execute directly in your browser. Files processed locally are not uploaded to our servers unless you opt into cloud-based actions such as OCR or format conversions that require backend rendering. When uploads occur, they are encrypted in transit, stored only as long as needed to complete the task, and permanently deleted thereafter.

Analytics and cookies. We use privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns, improve reliability, and detect errors. Cookies or local storage may remember interface preferences, recently used tools, or dismissals of in-product messages. You can clear these settings in your browser at any time.

Third-party services. Certain capabilities rely on vetted partners—for example, payment processors (if premium plans are introduced), hosting providers, or content delivery networks. Those partners process data strictly under our instructions and in accordance with written agreements. We do not sell your personal data.

7. Contact

How to reach us. If you have questions about these Terms, your rights, or technical issues, we encourage you to start with our self-service materials in the FAQ and tool-specific walkthroughs. They offer troubleshooting steps and transparent explanations of how each feature operates.

For direct assistance, message us through the form on our Contact page or email hello@pdfjuggler.com. When you reach out, please include context such as the PDF workflow you attempted, browser and operating system versions, and any relevant timestamps. We may request additional diagnostic information to reproduce issues.

Notices required by law, including breach notifications or takedown requests, should also be sent via the channels above. Written communications will be deemed delivered when we confirm receipt. If we need to contact you, we will use the email address or other contact details associated with your account or inquiry.

We also welcome feedback about future tools you would like to see in our Tools directory or educational content requests for the blog.
